Cara Delevingne on living with Taylor Swift: I took her for ‘a wild ride’

Cara Delevingne said she took Taylor Swift for a “wild ride” when she lived with her following a “really horrible breakup”.
The British model and actress made the revelation in an interview with US comedian Nikki Glaser, when the pair talked about who they would like to “roast”, following Glaser’s star turn at the Tom Brady roast in May this year.
A roast is a form of comedy, popular in the US, in which the guest of honour is subjected to jokes at their expense. Delevingne and Glaser, both self-proclaimed “Swifties”, said they would love to have a roast of music superstar Swift, provided no one was “mean”.
Delevingne, who has had a string of high-profile relationships with men and women including Harry Styles, Miley Cyrus, and the singer St Vincent, spoke of seeing Swift – who has just finished her Eras tour which earned her more than $1 billion – deliver a wedding speech.
“It was like a roast,” Delevingne said while speaking with Glaser for the latest issue of Interview Magazine.
“She’s one of the funniest, most clever people. Anyone could roast her easily, but at the same time, she could f— everyone up so hard.”
Delevingne then admitted she would have a unique insight because she had lived with the music star for a while.
“I was going through a really horrible breakup and she let me live with her,” she said.
“We’re very different people. She’s very homely, because she looked after me so well, but we got into some, not trouble, but I definitely took her for a bit of a wild ride. Just to get her to blush would be great.”
Glaser agreed Swift, who has spent years honing her family-friendly image, would be a good roast target, but she admitted she would find it hard to put the boot into her idol.
“I mean, as a Swiftie, I would love a roast of Taylor Swift. But I actually wouldn’t because I would be angry if anyone was really mean,” she said.
Glaser, who has been a popular stand-up comedian, shot to prominence during her role in former football star Brady’s roast earlier this year.
She poked fun at the seven-time Super Bowl winner’s high-profile divorce from Gisele Bündchen and the reported $US30 million he lost on crypto-currency.
Glaser has been announced as the host of the 82nd Golden Globes in January.
